Free proposal tracking: what is actually free
Most tools advertising “free proposal tracking” mean a trial that expires. A few genuinely give you a permanently tracked link. This page separates the two, and tells you exactly what each free tier caps.

The honest framing: it is the cap, not the offer
A free tracked link is not rare, and ours is not the most generous. ProposalKit.io gives unlimited proposals but tracks only one active link at a time. HummingDeck gives 5 documents and 5 links, forever. Papermark, which is open-source, gives 50 documents — more than most solo sellers will ever send.
So do not pick on allowance. ClosingMoment caps at 5 proposals and leaves every closing tool switched on — the real-time alert, the live shadow view, the AI follow-up, the WhatsApp close and the win/loss intelligence — none of which the others give away, at any tier. Five complete proposals tell you whether this changes how you sell. If what you need is volume rather than depth, one of the above will serve you better.

If you just want the cheapest paid tracking
It is not us. SendNow is the cheapest tracker in this set at $6.25/mo, billed annually[3] — roughly a third of ClosingMoment’s $19/mo. HummingDeck’s Starter tier at €9/mo[2] also undercuts us.
If price per tracked document is your only criterion, buy one of those. ClosingMoment costs more because it does something different after the open: it alerts you while the client is still reading, drafts a follow-up from the sections they actually spent time on, and opens WhatsApp with it ready to send. If that is not worth the difference to you, the cheaper tool is the right call.
